Fernando Di Leo directs Klaus Kinski in a giallo horror film with pulp tones. The film follows a masked serial killer murdering the wealthy inmates of a sanitarium. Francis Clay is the head doctor at an asylum that houses suicidal and mentally disturbed women. Hired by a wealthy socialite who is also a patient, Dr. Clay desperately tries to cure and protect his pupils. A nurse is decapitated, a patient is stabbed, a woman is pierced by an arrow. Before the unsuspecting hooded "monster" is captured, he will have time to commit another series of murders...
