In the summer of 1943, during the Second World War, thousands of Italian and German soldiers operating in Sicily found themselves surrounded by Allied troops. The only way out of the situation is to end the supply of fuel to the enemy forces by destroying the oil wells in Bahrain. Ridolfi, an air force major, is put in charge of the dangerous mission.
