The partisan struggle in Genoa and Liguria, from the clandestine organisations in the city and in the factories to the guerrilla warfare in the mountains and the open battle in the final stages of the conflict. The story revolves around a group of partisans who descend on the city to take weapons from a factory. The factory, however, is occupied by the Germans. The partisans are discovered, but the workers defend them. The Nazis are about to gain the upper hand when an Alpine unit arrives and puts them to flight. Meanwhile, the town is about to be liberated.
